Abstract Food is a basic need for all people in this world. The availability of existing food must be able to meet the food needs of each population. In Indonesia, most of the staple food of the population is rice. Even though Indonesia is a country endowed with soil fertility, which can be planted with various other food crops such as corn, one of them. Corn can be the second alternative staple food after rice (rice). Therefore, the availability of corn in this case is corn production needs to receive more in-depth supervision and study so that its availability also meets. Corn is one of the agricultural commodities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. However, the average corn production in Yogyakarta is only 52.9 tons/Ha. That is below the production standard set by the government which ranges from 50.5 to 60 tons/Ha. The purpose of this study is to determine the Analysis of Production Factors Affecting Corn Production in DIY in 2017-2021 with the Cobb-Douglass method, especially corn farming in Yogyakarta, a quantitative descriptive approach is used to have findings. After data analysis, it turns out that other factors can affect corn production, as well as government efforts are needed through policies that can support the availability of corn production and socialization to the community so that it does not only depend on rice as a staple food ingredient and optimize local food cultivation.
