Abstract

This research was conducted in Kire Village, Budong-budong Sub-district. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the development of oil palm plantation land area on labor absorption in Kire Village, Budong-budong Subdistrict and to determine the level of relationship between the development of oil palm plantation land area and labor absorption in Kire Village, Budong-budong Subdistrict. The results of this study the area of oil palm plantation land cultivated in Kire Village, Budong-budong District has developed every year, Labor absorption has also increased with the increase in the area of oil palm plantation land cultivated, The results of simple linear regression data analysis show that every time there is a development in the area of oil palm plantation land cultivated by 1 hectare, the number of workers absorbed in the sub-sector of the results of correlation data analysis obtained a value of 0.98 close to 1, meaning that which shows that there is a close relationship between the development of the area of oil palm plantation land cultivated with labor absorption in Kire Village, Budong-budong District
